第十一课 (Dì shíyī kè)Lesson Eleven: 孔融让梨(Kǒng róng ràng lí)

Kǒng Róng ràng lí

Long time ago, there was a little kid called Kong Rong.

One day, Kong Rong’s father bought a basket of pears. When he got home, he asked all his children to eat pears. He said: "Kong Rong is the youngest. Let him pick pears first."

Kong Rong came to the basked and picked up  a smaller one. They felt it was strange. Father asked him: "Why do you pick up a smaller one?"
Kong Rong said: " I'm the youngest one, so I should eat a smaller one. The bigger pears can be eaten by my elder brothers!"
Kong Rong was only four years old at that time.
